The School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies has four graduate programs: MLA Concentration in Africana Studies, MA in Latin American & Caribbean Studies, MA in Political Science, and PhD in Government. Each program offers students interesting and challenging curriculum that imparts subject matter knowledge and teaches important skills, such as oral and written communication proficiency and critical thinking. Our three MA Programs prepare students for rewarding careers in government and politics, military service, international affairs, nonprofits, education, and the private sector.

They are also ideal for students who wish to subsequently pursue a doctoral program. Our PhD in Government Program prepares students who wish to pursue a career in academics, but it is also useful for students who seek careers in government and politics, military service, international affairs, nonprofits, education, and the private sector. SIGS has extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and caring staff and a graduate director who guides our graduate students through the process of earning one of the valuable degrees we offer. We invite you to explore each program to see for yourself how much SIGS has to offer in graduate education.
