My research focuses on spatio-temporal data modeling, big data mining, machine learning, and visual analytics. Specifically, I develop new data models and analytical tools to understand complex, multi-scale geospatial data and processes. I apply GIS, spatial data science and dynamic modeling to evaluate disaster risk, resilience, and sustainability in coupled natural and human systems.
